Hike Update: November 2023

Firstly, thank you all for your love and support over the years. We are thrilled to announce that we have just released some new features for Hike. We hope you enjoy these new features and find them useful and fun.
These features are designed to make your life easier. Here are some of the new features that we have released for you:
Importing Gift cards into Hike.
(Supported plan/s: Hike Plus )
Good news! You can import your existing Gift card data in Hike via an Excel file. If you are moving into Hike from a different POS, you can add all your current Gift cards in Hike with a few steps. This will work similarly to Product and Customer import.
Please note that this will only allow importing new Gift cards. It will not update existing Gift cards.
As per the client feedback, for a smoother and better transition into Hike, we have introduced this feature in Hike. You can import the Gift card number, customer details, value of the Gift card, and remaining balance on the card.
Imported cards will be ready to use in minutes.
Export your inventory counts into Excel.
(Supported plan/s: Hike Plus)
We now provide the option to export the inventory counts when completed. This will allow clients to print and verify the completed counts with the actual stock.
This option will only be available on the Completed stock-takes/Inventory counts and not for the Pending counts. The exported file will be available in Excel format.
More options to filter inventory on the My Inventory page.

We have introduced a new filter on the My Inventory page (Products with inventory greater than zero). This filter will remove all products with 0 inventory from the list and will give you only in-stock products.
This is a great feature for clients who use thousands of SKUs and where it is difficult to track zero-stock products.
A new permission to lock sale prices for users.
(Supported plan/s: Hike Plus)
With this additional permission, Modify product price on checkout for a particular sale, a user can provide the discount but cannot change the Sale price of the product on the POS page. The discount applied can also be permitted by the Admin or Manager if required.
This is a great feature to limit the discounts applied by cashiers when the Admins/managers are away.
Changes in Purchase order status for a more detailed view.

We have added a new status ‘SENT’ for Purchase orders which will show when the PO is sent via email to the supplier.
Additionally, you can check the Sent email date/time and sent email address on the Purchase order page.
Hike outlet mapping with QuickBooks online locations.
(Supported plan/s: All)
QuickBooks allows creating Locations within one account. If you wish to connect these different locations with separate Hike outlets for the sale and product-inventory sync, this option is now available with Hike-QuickBooks online integration.
Location tracking is used to categorize data from different locations, outlets, or departments of the same company. This feature lets you see all the payments for one location and deposit them as a group.
Integration with the QuickBooks class

QuickBooks allows the creation of classes within one account. Classes represent meaningful segments in your company. You can organize your customer and vendor transactions by class. This lets you get clearer insights into your sales, expenses, or profitability by business segment.
Hike will allow you to integrate with QuickBooks class with the new feature. You can map each Hike outlet with a different QuickBooks class to manage sales and expenses.
Payment date and time on the receipts.

With Lay-by and On-account sales, customers will make multiple payments on different dates. To keep track of these payments on the receipts, we have now introduced this feature where you can show the date and time of each payment on the Receipt print.
You need to activate this option on the Receipt template. This will give you a clear idea about payments for these sales.
Bulk Edit the eCommerce channels from the product edit page.

The E-commerce channel is an important part of the products if you are integrated with any e-commerce platform. For customers with high stock rotation, we have provided this new feature where you can manually change the eCommerce option from the bulk edit product option.
This makes it easier for you rather than go into each product or export and import the product file just to update the eCommerce channel.
Option to check the user activity on the product history.

You will be able to check which Hike user made changes to the product on the product history page. A new option is now available on the Product History tab for your convenience. This will help you double-check your staff activity concerning product updates.
Export your product file based on pricing, stock, and images
(Supported plan/s: Hike Plus)
When exporting the product file from Hike, we have provided more simplification as per your requirement. You can only export selected data instead of the entire file.
We have provided 3 options for the export to Excel.
- Export Price
- Export Stock
- Export Image
This will be helpful when you just want to update the pricing, stock, or images. You need to only export the required file and import the same file back. It will be easy, fast and convenient.
Advanced option for Major activity logs.

With User major activity logs, you will be able to check the Deleted users, Stock-take, products and product types.
This will help the Store admin/owner to double-check the activity of the users in Hike.
